Relapse Prevention Plans for Substance Abuse

Holistic Addiction Treatment Center specializes in a Substance Abuse Relapse Prevention Plan that has proven to be successful in providing life building skills which are essential for continuous recovery. We offer a one year Aftercare Program that includes Holistic Counseling which helps to continue the progress our clients have worked so hard to achieve. Holistic Counseling provides a support system which will continue to help our clients with abstinence techniques and problem solving.

Our Aftercare Program works like this, after completing our Inpatient Program, the client continues with aftercare for one year. Our Aftercare Program is a once a week commitment and there is no additional cost to the client. Our Aftercare Programs are facilitated by trained and certified professionals that work with each client monitoring their individual aftercare plan. Our clients are extremely important to us so we monitor these aftercare plans closely revising and updating them as necessary. Relapse Prevention is our primary focus in our Aftercare Program as well as problem solving for clients and their families.

Outpatient Substance Abuse Relapse Prevention Program

We have a wonderful intensive Outpatient Program that is between six to eighteen weeks long. Our clients are involved with their Treatment Plan and they help to develop their own individual plan of treatment. Our clients attend Group Therapy 5 evenings a week which includes individual and family sessions. Depending on the individual's needs, this can be increased.

Our clients are required to attend 5 NA or AA meetings a week; this helps our clients to develop a relationship with a sponsor. Fellowship social support networks such as NA and AA are extremely helpful preventing relapse so they help each other stay focused and truly care about one another.

Inpatient Substance Abuse Relapse Prevention Program

At Holistic Addiction Treatment Center, we offer beautiful three bedroom homes that are in a tranquil and peaceful neighborhood. There is also a live-in house milieu Therapist on the premises. Our long-term Substance Abuse Relapse Prevention Treatment Program is anywhere from 4 1/2 weeks long to 1 year depending on the individual's treatment needs.

Because our client's needs are important to us, our treatment approach is structured and organized with the focus on long term success and abstinence from chemicals and prevention of relapse. Our long term program length of stay varies due to the client's progress and multi-disciplinary staff assessment.

Each of our clients participates in a very thorough bio psychosocial and psychological test, the results help us determine if there are any underlying problems that need to be addressed during treatment. Through our many successful years of experience, we have found that Dual Disorders and chronic relapse share many of the same apparent symptoms. Offering the tests mentioned above helps us to determine what type of treatment approach is necessary for the client while keeping in mind success and relapse prevention.

Depending on the outcome of these tests, often medication is required to help increase the long term success of abstinence and preventing relapse. We have also found that Alternative Medicine is usually the best line of defense in many of these cases. Our Holistic approach includes other elements of treatment that we find are crucial to many of our client's success, they include:

  1. Spiritual counseling which is Non-Denominational
  2. Chemical and Alcohol dependency
  3. Co-Dependency
  4. Re-parenting
  5. Assertiveness training
  6. Psychiatric evaluation
  7. Acupuncture because it encourages endorphin production
  8. Abuse and incest issues
  9. Family Therapy and Education
  10. Nutritional food plan because it's important to have balance throughout the body
  11. Vitamin Therapy because it helps to rebuild neurotransmitters
  12. Anger Management and classes in meditation, karate, tai-chi and yoga for reducing stress
  13. Vocational, Educational assistance, and Job placement which provides economic self-sufficiency
  14. Dual Diagnosis
  15. Sexual Addiction and relationship issues
  16. Gambling Addiction
  17. Gender specific issues
  18. Relapse Prevention Plan
  19. Grief work

Hello...I am still sick and suffering with my so called dual diagnosis, including anxiety and depression that sometimes bring me feelings of hopelessness and suicidal ideation. Living with this deadly disease of addiction, having experience with treatment both inpatient and out as well as having years of clean time, I'm almost at that point of no return..yet again! I have no means of money and neither do my parents but I do have Medicaid? I am also a believer in Christ Jesus, but I feel that the more I fail Him and myself, the more I'm just a complete failure all together. With 20 years of living in knowledge of what I can and cannot change, I have been blessed with more than enough opportunity and ability to do the next right thing. I call myself a chronic relapser and I'm feeling burnt out on life today...can somebody please help me!!
